Pushing the limits of Civil 3D in drawing production-part(2/2)

Description

Drawing Production is a process in which BIM Models should be used to generate drawings from the model including (General Plans, Plan & Profiles, Setting out, X- sections …etc). the current industry focus is always on the upstream Model Authoring process without much attention on what should be generated out of this model. And that’s where the problems start to arise. In this Session, you will learn how to unlock the full potential of Autodesk Civil 3D to tackle most of the drawing production challenges. We will focus on transportation and utilities sheet types and aim to demonstrate how to minimize the drawing production process time by around 90% of its current common status through demonstrating a BIM based approach, new features and workarounds.

Key Learnings

  • Know about the inbuilt Civil 3D features for drawing production automation
  • Learn how to apply some tips and tricks to save on the time required to generate the required model documentation
  • Gain insight on how to best produce pressure networks profile bands
  • Unlock the full potential of Civil 3D in drawings production
